To play with Tikiwiki on your own machine locally without installing much there are different ways. You may:

• Try Tikiwiki with maps feature in a virtual machine using VMWare
• Try TikiWIki 1.9 Developer Release on a Knoppix CD (CVS from 13. November 2004)
• Try Tikiwiki on an English language, Gentoo based custom livecd - Mapserver included (1.9.5 CVS from July 24th, 2006)
