Codename Sirius : stable branch - bugfixes & minor and/or visual enhancements

BRANCH-1-9 will now only be used only for bugfixes & minor and/or visual enhancements, all new features will go to HEAD (code name 1.10 Arcturus).

Please add a default css style to styles/transitions/1.8to1.9.css to help older themes do the right thing, when adding CSS entries to 1.9.
