We need a better page rename option:
where there is a option to keep a placeholder page which says "This page has moved to"
These "placeholder pages" would not appear in searches. There would also be an automatic 10 second refresh to the new page.
Instead of showing a redirection page, one could send back a "HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently" header. The browser will then go to the new page immediately and clever search engines such as Google will update their index without the page loosing it's position in the index. --MartinGeisler

We need a better way to group pages together, navigate between pages in a group and reference pages in other wikis than the combination of Categories and External-wikis features can deliver.
- On sites with multimple instances, there is often no need to duplicate the CMS features (articles, trackers, blogs, galleries and so on).
- The external wikis feature doesn't check for the presence of a page, so all links appear active (no "WikiWord" links)
- The categories feature layout is not easy to navigate (it was never designed for this use case)
- Using multiple installations would require multiple logins - one for each wikiweb (we see this today with tw.o and doc.tw.o)
This feature is offered by many other wikis and has fast become a key requirement for good wiki collaboration:
